Volunteering: Thank you thank you thank you!! After a long haitus during the Covid pandemic, we are once again welcoming day volunteers on the farm. Please note this is by appointment only or during work hours posted on our Facebook group.
Work Exchange Programs: We offer two options only for living on the farm style volunteering: internships and apprenticeships, which are 2 months, and 6 months, respectively. The video below describes what's going on at the farm and our approach to feeding our community as a farm business.
Farm Intern & Apprenticeships 2024 and beyond
We are Now Accepting Applications
Farm interns and apprentices participate in all aspects of farm production and maintenance including but not limited to: weed management, pest and disease management, harvesting, post-harvest handling, irrigation, greenhouse propagation, seeding, transplanting, composting, assisting with CSA operation, markets, basic building projects and maintenance, volunteer management, cleaning and organizing, helping guests and preparing for farm programs, animal care-taking and producing value added goods. Interns and apprentices also participate in communal living responsibilities and meetings. Either may be located at one of two R2R farm locations.
Internships are for those with interest and willingness to work for learning but with no or little prior experience (minimum 2 months). Apprenticeships are for those who have experience and seek to deepen learning through committed work-exchange for at least two seasons (minimum 6 months).
Serious applications only, please! If your primary motivation is to learn more about farming by gaining experience and starting your own one day, this is a good hands-on, live-action farming experience.
We have a very small staff to review applications and do so only periodically, so please allow 2-3 weeks for a response.

Agri-Tourism Internship -now accepting applications
St. Croix’s Ridge to Reef Farm is offering a new Agritourism Internship position. The organic farm operates a 100-family produce share Community Supported Agriculture program, farm-to-chef sales, educational farm tours, and visitor programs. Vegetables, tropical fruits, and a small animal program encompass the farms’ primary production. This 3 to 6 month position includes providing guest services for visitors, hosting events, leading farm tours, maintaining asset and product inventory, cleaning, cooking, gardening, and administrative record keeping and communications.
