Written Directions from East and West of the "rain forest"
Directions to Ridge to Reef Farm (same location as Creque Dam Farm/VISFI)
IMPORTANT NOTE! Use Google Maps and GPS at your own risk! We actually highly recommend not using it at all and solely using the detailed directions below for an ensured safe arrival!
From EAST, take Mahogany road (freshly paved) into the rainforest past Norma’s Domino club and take the second right turn onto 765 (look for Ridge to Reef Farm sign). Follow until top of hill where Scenic West connects and look for the farm sign and metal gate at that intersection. Follow into farm property and descend into Caledonia valley in 1/2 mile and park at bottom of hill near the solar-powered community center. We recommend driving slowly over speed bumps and taking a higher clearance vehicle if possible.
From WEST, take Creque Dam (Annaly) Road 58 PAST Creque Dam Reservoir & Mt. Victory Campground to the top of the road, where it connects with Scenic West (approximately 2.7 miles from Sprat Hall). Turn SHARP left at farm gate and Ridge to Reef Farm sign and follow into farm property and descend into Caledonia valley in 1/2 mile and park at bottom of hill near the solar-powered community center. We recommend driving slowly over speed bumps and taking a higher clearance vehicle if possible.
NOTE: Due to our road situation (decent pot holes) we recommend driving a jeep or other high clearance car.
OUR TAXI RECOMMENDATION is Kaya. Some taxis don't like to drive all the way here, but Kaya is your man to and from the farm. Reach him at 340-201-0556.
We suggest renting a jeep at some point during your stay to explore the island at your own pace. For this we strongly recommend the locally owned Centerline Car Rental, who not only has reasonable prices and well-maintained vehicles, but they will pick you up at that farm at no extra cost to get your car and take you back if you are real sweet.
We are relatively remote for a small island, but the beach is a 3 mile walk down a winding road along Creque Dam Road to Sprat Hall Beach or the adventurous trail down Caledonia Gut to Hamm's Bay.
